Looking for GMAT Materials?

Not sure of the GMAT preparatory materials to use? I would like to provide links to the great resources that I used when I wrote my GMAT. If you come across any other helpful GMAT sites or would like to have a GMAT site listed here, please feel free to e-mail me. All the best in your GMAT test!

Free Practice Tests:

  • GMAC’s Official Site - Although they don’t offer a free practice test, they do offer a handful of free on-line questions. They also have a “Question of the Day” section.
  • Peterson’s - Offers a free downloadable program that includes a full-length practice test. It is non-adaptive but is probably worth taking nonetheless.
  • Scoretop - This site provides great preparatory resources. You will also be able to learn from other people’s experience.

Links:

  • The Official Home Page for the GMAT - On this page you can register for the GMAT, purchase study materials, sign up to take an official practice test and much more. If you’ve got general questions about the administration of the test, this should be the first place you go.
  • Amazon - I have found Amazon.com to have the best combination of price, reliability and service. We recommend that you use them to purchase GMAT study materials. (If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out my recommended books page.)
  • Kaplan - One of the best websites for test prep help. In addition to having a number of GMAT articles on-line, they also have sample questions and a GMAT discussion board.
  • The Princeton Review - Another site with a lot of great help. The best part of the Princeton Review’s site is a frequently-visited message board where you can post questions you might have about the test.

  1. Clear Admit: MBA Admissions Consultants and Counselors Blog Says:

[...] For those just beginning the application process, the GMAT is, somewhat predictably, at the fore of discussion. We were glad to hear that Army Commo Guy earned a very solid score when he took the exam last week and that Kent Torokvei is closing in on test day and feeling good about his performance as predicted by practice tests. KoolJaek, meanwhile, has resolved to retake and is looking into a test prep course - but might also want to take a look at MBAXPloit’s list of recommended materials and Marina’s detailed account of her own test prep approach. Even though the GMAT is more than a month away for Suser McLoser, she’s already finding out that it’s an easy part of the application process in comparison to formulating a career goal story and getting it down on paper, something that Juggler has recently achieved after much revision and restarting, while Stress Tensor seems more hung up on the “why now” question.
